Volunteer Opportunities
All of our rescue efforts are made possible through dedicated volunteers. We encourage you to join us! Some of the ways you can help are listed below, but do not hesitate to contact us about other opportunities. Feel free to complete a Volunteer Application and we will contact soon to get you involved in the gratification found in rescue.
Foster Homes
Take a rescue dog into your home either over night, a few days, or several weeks. Get to know the rescue dog, give him or her a name, do some training in manners, help find a suitable adopter. PRO pays for all food and vet expenses as well as provides a crate if needed.
Adoption Counselors
Do you know a lot about a particular breed? Help potential adopters decide which dog is best for them. Make contact with potential adopters, get to know their needs, guide them through the adoption process, help set up a time for them to visit the dogs, and follow up with them after a successful adoption.
Transporting Dogs
Do you like to Drive? Help transport dogs to and from vet appointments, foster homes, and to their training programs. We need help with transports in the South Central Ohio area primarily, but welcome help from anywhere in the state.
Help at Meet-n-Greets
Being at area meet-n-greets to hold dogs, talk to and help potential adopters, pass out information, and just generally be there to help make sure things run smoothly and people and dogs are taken care of.
Fundraising and Donations
Do you have an idea? We could use your help raising funds, helping with annual fund raisers, contacting businesses to donate items for auctions, contacting pet stores for adoptathons, etc.
