The above logo and picture was created by the dog handlers at London Correctional Institute.  The prison program is excellent for the dogs and for the handlers.  These programs need donations and public support from people like you for the daily needs of the dogs attending the program.  Please take a moment to read the list of items needed below - you may have some of these items laying around your house.

Training in the P.U.P.P. Program

Dogs that have the fortune to go into the P.U.P.P. program are trained by the "dog handlers" in the program.  The training program is all positive and includes socializing the dogs with other dogs in the program, and teaching them basic commands such as "sit", "down", "stay", "come", "kennel" and additional commands based on the dogs progression throughout the 8 weeks in the program.  Some dogs are taught commands verbally and also with hand signals.  All of the dogs are crated in the bunk area of their dog handlers and they are crated at night and various hours throughout the day.  The dogs are put on a schedule for eating and required breakds to go outside and do their business, and also to socialize with other people and crowds.
