Companion Animal Partners program, "CAP"
Purebred Rescue Organization of Ohio, Inc. "PRO" recently added another mission to our canine rescue efforts called Companion Animal Partners "CAP".
CAP's mission, in parallel with PRO's mission to rescue and place homeless dogs, is to train rescued dogs as service dogs with persons with special needs, disabilities, and handicaps. There are many rescued dogs that are capable of service work. Our job is to identify those dogs, then sculpt them into the job that they were born to do. Training will begin in the cell dog program, and finish with one-on-one training with the person and/or family that the service dog will aid.
We are accepting clients in need of trained service dogs for the following abilities:
- Assistance Dogs for individuals with impairments such as MS or Cerebral Palsey
